Rigid Gas Permeable Lenses (RGPs)

These often provide sharper vision than soft lenses especially for high astigmatism (>-2.00 D).

It can take your eyes a few weeks to adjust to the sensation of having them in. They are smaller than your iris diameter so one disadvantage is that dust and wind can sometimes get trapped under the lens.  There is a technique in understanding how to avoid this which kicks in very naturally after the first few weeks.
